Your fur baby is welcome here! Dogs, cats, rabbits - you name it! Your pet is welcome at your in-home family shoot, and dogs are welcome in select outdoor locations too. There are a few caveats: - They'll need to be able to go to their own space for at least 1/2 the home session to allow me to do My Thing with the human members of the family - I'm allergic (I know! very sad!) so they need to be ok if I don't pat them like they deserve - If outdoors, they need to be ok on leash, tied up, and be able to be called back to you But aside from that - sky's the limit! Love a daddy’s girl 💕 Do you kids go through stages where they’re obsessed with one parent? Mine do. Sometimes it’s like the wind changes and they’ll suddenly be attached to me like barnacles. Next minute, it’s Dad or nothing. I see that play out every 10 minutes or so at photoshoots - little kids will want mum or dad SPECIFICALLY until all of a sudden… you know how it goes 😂 That’s why I always let the toddlers lead the session. I wait to see where and who they’re happiest with in the moment and then prompt from there. In between all these shots were similar gorgeous moments with her mum. A little Goddess Moment - swipe to see little Oliver playing hide and seek in mum’s maternity gown 🥹😂 I think this is the number 1 reason I encourage families to include their older kids in maternity portraits. They bring spontaneity and joy to every frame, because there is ZERO chance a 3 year old is going to stay still or follow a prompt for more than half a second 😂 And I love it. My method: bring families to incredible locations, make sure the styling is cohesive, comfortable, and fun, and then give the parents some prompts to get a moment going - and see where the kids take it from there.
